Dividend Email Notifications
If you have set up your account to receive dividend notifications, you will be sent an email whenever one of the companies you have selected declares a dividend.
This email includes a calculation of the amount you can expect to receive and date of payment.
The emails look like this:
Dividend notification email with the link to change your number of shares circled in red
If you buy or sell shares in the company (or receive more shares through a share split), you will need to update the number of shares you hold within the notification settings.
You can do this by clicking the change this link in the email which will take you to the Notifications section of the DividendMax website here: https://www.dividendmax.com/dividends/notifications
There are instructions for adjusting the number of shares here: https://support.dividendmax.com/hc/en-gb/articles/360055989172-How-do-I-adjust-my-dividend-notifications-
The number of shares in my notifications doesn't match my Generator portfolio
DividendMax won't alter the number of shares in your notifications, and the dividend notification settings are not linked to your holdings in the Generator.
Your portfolio(s) in the Generator are separate to your notifications and are not linked. You can copy your notifications to a portfolio in the Generator (by clicking Copy To Portfolio at the bottom of the list of notifications).
The values will match at the time you copy them, but will diverge if you make changes either to your portfolio in Generator or your notifications.
DividendMax does not have access to your brokerage account and cannot ascertain your current holding, so you will need to adjust the number of shares you hold on the dividendmax.com site as necessary.
